HETEROSEXUALITY

Birds do it, bees do it, even educated fleas do it – not surprizing! After all, sex is one of the most wonderful things.

However, to avoid a rude awakening after a night of bliss we ask you to follow a few tips from the "Garden of Desire":

It is a fact that both partners run the risk of infection if they have unprotected sex even though HIV can be transmitted more easily from man to woman. The infection risk increases dramatically during menstruation. It doesn’t really matter which garden gate you use – in both cases, vaginal or anal sex, the infection risk is very high. To all the men: Wrong! Pulling out before ejaculation is no protection! Condoms and femidoms protect! For the greenhorns: try out a condom on a carrot, a banana or a cucumber (according to size and form) or simply on yourself – that is the best way of preventing accidents! And in order not to dig yourself into a hole use water-based lubricants to avoid injuries or tears in condoms.

Things are slightly different when it comes to oral sex: as long as there is no blood involved you can let off steam without raincoat. There is just one rule: withdrawal before ejaculation. However, should sperm happen to enter the mouth do not swallow it under any circumstances and rinse your mouth out thoroughly, preferably with alcohol.

When it comes to oral-vaginal sex from man to woman, the risk of an infection is not very high but the exception proves the rule – although the risk is minimal, virus transmission is still possible.  Those who want to play it safe should use condoms, dental dams, or a piece of plastic food wrap.

As for all the strange fruits that blossom and thrive in the Garden of Desire – foxgloves, rosebuds, golden rain!

Fingering, fisting, the use of sex toys, watersports, SM, rimming or other practices - they are not known to transmit the virus. However, one of the most important rules is: blood or sperm must not come into contact with the mucous membrane lining the vagina, the anal tract or the mouth. Remember: Cut your nails before you start fingering or fisting and use latex-gloves. If you are into (hardcore) SM make sure you watch out for signs of blood - use sex toys with one partner only and if you change partners, clean them thoroughly.

In closing here’s the good news: kissing, caressing, petting, massages, embracing... are all completely risk-free. And yes, that can also be fun!
